FAQs

  • We recommend asking a few questions. Can the company provide referrals? Has the company been in business for at least four years? Does the company have a good buyer base? How will the home be left after the sale? Does the company provide a solution to clear the contents of the home? When and how are you paid? Does the company have an online presence? Do they charge a setup fee or is that included in the commission? All of these are questions to ask any company in the interview process.

  • We start with a free in-home consultation. We’ll come to you, discuss your needs and devise a plan of action.

  • Yes! All of our estate liquidation services are capable of being completed within 6 days from the date of hiring. Need it even faster? Not a problem, we have done it before, that is why we are confident in our ability to get your home emptied and ready for the next step.

  • Do not throw anything away, as our professionals know what will sell and we are here to assist. All you need to do to prepare for an estate sale is to pull your personal property (photos, documents, etc) and any items you want to keep by either removing them or tagging them. We will handle the rest! We know liquidating is not a small task and we are here to help every step of the way.

  • No. Our specialists know what will sell and we encourage you to let us make those decisions. We find that people are surprised all the time at what will sell. This sorting is included in the setup and organization process. This will help to alleviate some of the stress in the liquidation or downsizing process.

  • Before your sale date, we will discuss with you the options available and you can decide what you would like to do with any unsold items. We will not take your remaining unsold items with us at the end of the sale. We do not have a resale shop as we are only there to liquidate your belongings. Whatever you decide, we will be there to assist you. Our job is not finished just because the “sale” is over. If you prefer to have it cleaned out after, we can assist with that too.

  • The average estate sale is a 3 day event (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Prior to the sale we need on average 2 weeks to prepare the house, price all the items, market the sale etc. We can make it work in a shorter timeframe but 2 weeks is average.

  • Whether it’s just a handful of items, a small-scale estate sale ($3,000-$5,000 in value) or large-scale ($50,000 and over in value), we handle the items and the sales other companies can’t and won’t. If we determine you don’t have adequate inventory for a sale, we’re happy to provide alternative solutions such as charitable donation, cash buy out or clean-out.

  • Actually this is quite common. Even in cases where the family has thoroughly gone through the house. By the time we clean out every drawer, closet cabinet, etc. it is inevitable that we will find something. Don’t worry though, we box all of these items up for you and either make arrangements for you to pick them up or ship them to you if you are out of the area.

  • Payment is made to you no later than 7 business days after the last day of the sale.

  • No, estate sales are also common when people need to downsize, relocate or move into senior community living. They help homeowners quickly liquidate belongings and prepare a home for sale.

  • Yes! Just because a traditional on-site estate sale is not permissible, we have other options available to you, including: (1) cash buyouts; (2) complete clean-outs; and (3) limited consignment services. We use the same level of care and attention to excellence regardless of which service you hire us to do.

  • Yes, references are available. We always strive to be the best in the business and for our clients. We have testimonies on our website and can provide references as well.
